A personal note from Stephanie:
As a mom who strives to be as attached as possible to my child, I believe that parents are and should be where a child receives their security. Having said that, I am also the mother to a daughter who absolutely adores her 'blankie.' I think that despite our best efforts, sometimes children become attached to inanimate objects to fill in for the times when we are away or when they are learning to sleep alone, instead of the family bed.
I used to think that I must have done something wrong but I came to realize that it had nothing to do with me and more to do with what my daughter needed.
All that to say...she has a blankie and if your little one needs something lovely to play with and cling to, these blankets are just the thing:)
I would recommend that if your child must be away from you for long periods that you take the blanket friend to bed with you so it absorbs a lot of your scent before you give it to your baby.
